Mononuclear cells used for researching the causes, diagnosis, supportive care and treatment of the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV). Patient samples can be used by researchers to investigate biomarker and diagnostic development, pre-clinical research validation, and drug toxicity and efficacy. Human mononuclear cells are collected from human volunteer donors diagnosed with Hepatitis B virus (HBV) under IRB approved informed consent by whole blood or leukapheresis using the COBE® Spectra Apheresis System MNC collection protocol. Mononuclear cells are purified using density gradient centrifugation techniques.

Short term storage of cells (less than 2 weeks) at –80 °C is acceptable, but should be minimised to ensure maximum stability. Once thawed, samples must be used immediately.
