Our facilities

Our facilities are up-to-the-minute – so that we can offer you the very best advice in a fast moving marketplace. We have a Chromatographic Investigations Group at your service to answer queries and provide technical support.

Our facilities include purpose-designed laboratories housing state-of-the-art chromatographic equipment, including automated method development HPLC and UHPLC systems, retention modelling software and so on, all operated by highly experienced professional scientists. We have comprehensively evaluated the techniques of SFC/UHPLC-MS and 2D-LCXLC.

Our team

Avantor® has an exceptionally strong Research and Development team that is unrivalled throughout the UK. We’re skilled in all the latest chromatography techniques, and have a keen interest in working at the cutting edge of chromatography.

The R&D team provides services for customers including:

  • Chromatographic evaluations of novel stationary phase materials so that you can choose the right column for your applications
  • Access to a comprehensive stationary phase characterisation database
  • Investigations into analyte retention behaviour
  • Subsequent retention modelling and separation optimisation
  • Troubleshooting of chromatographic methodologies

Technical support and training

We can provide training on many aspects of modern chromatographic techniques. The Research and Development team works alongside Avantor® training team to ensure that our presentations and courses incorporate the latest developments and advances in chromatography.

 The Research and Development team also works closely with our Technical Support department to assist with some of the more complex issues that customers may encounter.
